Mr. Arlo Gagestein is the owner and lead fitness trainer for Competitive Edge Fitness located in Ogden, Utah. He has extensive education, training and experience in fitness, nutrition, and fields related to optimum team and individual mission readiness. Holding a Bachelor of Arts in Human Performance Management with a minor in Spanish, Arlo is also a Sports Massage Therapist, a certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist, a Certified MMA Conditioning Coach, and a Certified Core Training Specialist. Arlo’s experience includes preparing fighters, police officers and military personnel for the physical aspects of their fields. Dr. Jamie Newsome started as a Research Associate for the University of Cincinnati Corrections Institute in January. She earned her doctorate in criminal justice from the University of Cincinnati, with concentrations in corrections and criminological theory. Jamie has experience working in a community-based correctional facility, and conducting research on the causes of crime and delinquency and translating research into practice. Her research has been featured in the Journal of Criminal Justice, Criminal Justice and Behavior, Development and Psychopathology, and the Journal of Youth and Adolescence.
